Friends are a Treasure

We met friends everywhere, wherever we go we met friends and we're glad that it's easy for us to make friends with anybody. We met these young people in a church here in our place. They are our good friends and we're glad that we knew them in person. They can easily make friends although they have a hard time speaking in English. They are our Thai friends.

Mesothelioma and Asbestosis - Lung Cancer

Lung Cancer is a sickness that kills many sometime in the past. Many people suffered and passed away.

Speaking of this lung cancer, just recently there is another discovery that affects the lung and liver. It is known as Mesothelioma, a form of cancer that targets the mesothelium, the membrane that covers and protects most of the internal organs of the body. Once it is affected it can easily spread to the whole body. I remember when I was young my father used to work in a mining corporation together with his twin. And miners, industrial workers and others who were exposed to toxic asbestos may suffer from this kind of disease.


But there is another disease which is known as asbestosis. It is non-cancerous chronic lung disease that is also connected to asbestos exposure. The symptoms include difficulty in breathing or short breath especially when they are doing some exercises. These two diseases were interrelated, that means asbestosis is linked to mesothelioma. And men at 50 and above who were exposed to this kind of work were at risk. And it can affect both the workers and their families.


But the good thing is, the workers who had been diagnosed with mesothelioma are entitled to compensation with an experienced Mesothelioma Lawyer to help them. And due to this kind of disease many asbestos manufacturer were bankrupt over the years.

Flowers are everywhere. It can be seen in any house, garden, hotel, amusement, or even in the mountains. It has different sizes, shapes and colors. People will usually admire every flower they saw anywhere and I'm one of them. I love flowers of any kind. For me, it gives color to life.

My Family in Bacolod

This is my family in Bacolod, Phil. We love to go to the beach and relax. We call this Punta Taytay Beach. My Nanay is carrying AJ and Doreen (AJ's cousin). Next to AJ is Karen, my youngest sister in front of her, then Krizzia and Dawna. The one sitting on the bench is JV (you could not see clearly his face. My Tatay is near the beach. You can't see him here and my sisters with their husbands. Everytime we want to relax, we went to this beach, ate there until pm. It's really a nice place to relax.

The Big Lake inside PSU

Yesterday we went to jog in this big lake. If we have spare time we usually go to this place and enjoy our exercises like jogging, playing badminton and brisk walking. We usually go in the morning.

This lake is inside the university. The area is quite big near the mountain. It has a lot of trees and flowers around. You will really enjoy while doing your exercises.

The two buildings that you can see in the picture are dormitories for ladies. There were students staying inside the campus. There were also professors staying around the area. I can say, PSU is quite large not just big. It has a lot of tall buildings for different departments or levels. It's an interesting university. Many foreigners are coming for exchange studies here too.

The Hospital in the South

This is one of the hospitals in South Thailand. One of the known hospitals and many locals and foreigners alike were able to benefit and enjoy the services they offered. However, the locals have more benefits than the foreigners. They usually pay less than a 100 baht if their case is not serious. But for foreigners, they need to pay more.

This hospital is known to most people living around the area and some provinces nearby. The surroundings are clean, and you don't feel bad when you get inside.

Great Dinner

We were invited for a dinner this evening by our friends from Malaysia and we had eaten a lot of spicy food. Wow, it's so nice to have friends around. It's for the first time that we were able to go to that place. It's a seafood restaurant but quite expensive. We ate a lot of seafoods especially Neung Pla Ma nao and Tom yam, hhmmmm, it's really yummy!

We had a hard time going there at first because it was raining but we were able to manage. We saw a lot of businessmen there. It seems that everybody is enjoying their food. It's quite a big place, though there were droplets of rain coming down from the roof. I think the restaurant is quite old huh!

Anyhow, we had good time together!

The Big City in the South

This is Hatyai in the southern part of Thailand. We were on top of the mountain before, overlooking the city and took some pictures. It's quite big and a lot of tall buildings. There are also restaurants on top of the mountain that makes it famous and known to foreigners. You can do a lot when you visit the place like having body massage, facial, hair style, all beauty tips and shops could be found anywhere at a cheaper price. Restaurants are anywhere too. They have cheaper restaurants or food shops or an expensive ones depending on your choice. Shopping malls are also around the city, and they offer discounts. And they have bigger discounts on sale items. It's really very cheap.

Blooming Flowers of Suan Siam

When we visited Bangkok last time, we went to Suan Siam Park and I took some besutiful flowers inside the park. I love it, though it's simple but very attractive because of the different colors. It's so nice when all the flowers are blooming. It's cool and very romantic.

During holidays a lot of people are coming and enjoy the place. They have a lot of rides both for young and old. You will really love to stay for a while and forget the troubles of the day.

My Sister in Bacolod

This is my sister with her family in Bacolod. They were eating inside a restaurant and enjoying life with her family and daughter (Krizzia), Em2 (my son) and Din2 (the cousin) with her hubby ( Nong Dan). My sister is also a teacher like me and we enjoy our profession. Our mother is also a retired teacher. That was the dream of our father, for us to be teachers.

Bacolod is a small place and quite place. Although there are some who misbehaved sometimes. But overall, it's simple but with advanced facilities and technology.

Watery Wednesday # 3

My sister gave me this picture when she travelled but I wasn't able to ask what's the name of this place. Anyway, I love water, it symbolizes life.

Friends are rare to find. They are like treasures. Speaking of friends we met some of them in Bangkok last month. They are really great with a big heart. They are our Kababayan from the Phil. It's our first time to meet them. They are our treasured friends.

Scenic Sunday # 5

This is the Lantern Festival in Thailand. It started in November and ends in Feb the next year! A lot of foreigners are coming to this place and visit this festival. It has many creative designs like different kinds of animals, a big aquarium with different pieces of fish and a lot more! You will really enjoy visiting this place.

The Cooler Place

This is Carrefour in Thailand. A place where we used to visit especially when we buy something for the house like grocery and other needs. I think, this is one of the biggest dept. store in town. We can eat here, the kids can play, and roam around. The cooler place in town I suppose. Our place is very hot a lot of times especially this summer. So a lot of times we come to this place just to feel the coldness of the day!

Eat - All - You - Can!!!

We went to an Eat - All - You - Can restaurant the other night with some friends. This restaurant provides all the food. Our friends were so amazed while saying, it's great, I'm so full!

The only thing that you should do when you come is to get anything you want and cook for yourself. They will also provide something for you to cook. The only is you will eat more and can destroy your body figure, huh! They have a lot of desserts too, meats of any kind, and spicy sauces of any kind. You will only pay less, more or less 2.05$ US, cheap, right?

My family enjoyed so much and ate a lot too!

My Sister's Adventure

My youngest sister loves to travel and see different views. She likes to visit different places with fascinating sites. She loves to travel and work abroad. Her main work is in cruise ship where she meets different personalities, nationalities and meets different people, young and old alike. She also loves to meet friends and make friends with them. She could easily make friends anywhere and whatever nationalities or people anywhere in the world.

She also helps our family especially our parents, our brother and other sisters with their families. She is the one helping all of us when there's a need. She always blesses people, friends and anyone she meets. She is our great and fantastic sister!
