Birds Watching

Few months ago we went to a big Lake somewhere in Pattalung Province. It's quite huge where you could find a lot of wild birds.

We were amazed while looking at the different wild birds. My sweetie name each one of them.

We saw an eagle, heron, wild ducks, and a lot more while travelling by boat. It took us more than an hour to travel by boat.

I thank God for allowing us to see this place. How beautiful are the works of HIS hands. It's awesome!
We rented a boat and saw the awesome place. It's not a man-made work but God's creation!

Songkhla Beach

This is the beach we love to visit everytime we have free time. This is known as Songkhla Beach. There were two islands - the Mouse and the Cat. According to the locals, the smaller island looks like a mouse and the bigger one is a cat. They said, the mouse was chasing the cat.
Different people have different beliefs but I CARE about the people and their belief about the One true GOD- that really matters to me.
Anyway, a lot of people are coming here during weekends, they usually bring their family together and enjoy the cool breeze. It's really cool and cold at times.
More about Songkhla Beach on the next posts.

Scenic Sunday

This is the 3rd time that I joined Scenic Sunday. This picture was taken in Mayanmar. I suppose, this is a beautiful place. I'm excited to visit this place if given a chance.

You can visit Scenic Sunday site for more scenic photos.

My Sister

I love my sisters and brother. They are dear to me. The one in the picture is our eldest sister (we call her Nang Suzette) with our eldest son Em2 below, my sister' daugther Krizzia, next to her, Danielle (our sister's daughter) and Nong Dan (Nang Suzette's husband).

She is also a teacher in the Phil. They had children namely: Keith (18), Krizzia (13), and Karen (7). I missed my family in the Phil. Miracles happened to our family too last year. God showed how great HE is to us!

Beach in Thailand

When we first came to Thailand, our new found friends brought us to a beautiful white beach. It's an island in the middle of the ocean. It's cool and cozy. It has white sand with blue water. Many tourists ae coming to visit the place.
We love to travel and see the beauty of nature. It's really fantastic and awesome. Many beaches are everywhere in Thailand. Thai people love to travel and feel the gentle breeze of the seashore. During weekends, they usually go out with their family and went to the nearest beach and ate lunch together. You will be amazed of their culture.

Victory Monument - Bangkok, Thailand

The other day I posted about this Victory Monument when we visited Bangkok last week. I had searched in google for the history and I found this:

Victory Monument (Thai: อนุสาวรีย์ชัยสมรภูมิ, Anusawari Chai Samoraphum) is a large military monument in Bangkok, Thailand. The monument is located in Ratchathewi district, northeast of central Bangkok, at the center of a traffic circle at the intersection of Phahonyothin Road, Phaya Thai Road, and Ratchawithi Road.
The monument was erected in June 1941 to commemorate the Thai victory in the brief war with the French colonial authorities in Indo-China, which resulted in Thailand annexing some territories in western Cambodia and northern and southern Laos. These were among the territories which the Kingdom of Siam had been forced to cede to France in 1893 and 1904, and patriotic Thais considered them rightfully to belong to Thailand.
In fact the fighting between the Thais and the French in December 1940 and January 1941 had been brief and inconclusive. Only 59 Thai troops were killed, and the final territorial settlement was imposed on both parties by Japan, which did not want to see a prolonged war between two regional allies at a time when it was preparing to launch a war of conquest in South East Asia. Thailand's gains were less than it hoped for, although more than the French wished to concede. Nevertheless the Thai regime of Field Marshal Plaek Phibunsongkhram decided to celebrate the war as a great victory, and the monument was commissioned, designed and erected within a few months.
This is the history of Victory Monument in Bangkok, Thailand.

Victory Monument

Last week we were able to visit Bangkok and we saw different places. One of these was the Victory Monument. We could not forget the place because we always passed by the place before going back to the house we were staying near Don Muang Airport.

It's a monument in the middle of the road. It was surrounded by roads and high rise buildings right accross the main roads. I like the setting because of the green grass around the monument. It's cool.

Fall in Line Folks

Today we went out from our house and prepared to go to Phil. Embassy in Bangkok. When we reached the main road, we saw a lot of people falling in line while others are waiting for buses, taxis, and other source of transportation.

We could not understand why they fall in line but I took a picture because I'm curious.

A Huge Connecting Malls

We went to different places in Bangkok and explore. It's good that our kids didn't go with us to different malls inside the city. They decided to stay at our friend's house. So we had time to travel and explore the huge city of Bangkok.

Our friend who can speak Thai well went with us, another Filipino friend that we met in the city, my hubby and myself. It took more than an hour for us to get to the city proper.

When we reached the inner city, we saw a lot of people, and high rise buildings. We first saw the Siam Tower where you could see a lot of great and fantastic things.

Then we went to another mall connecting Siam Tower, it was known as Siam Discovery. It's another huge mall with fascinating designs.

Siam Paragon is the 3rd mall connecting to these 2 malls (Siam Tower and Siam Discovery). It's really, very huge and fantastic.

Underground the mall is the Largest Aquarium in Southeast Asia. We really had fun and we enjoyed a lot though it's quite tiring the whole day. It's worth it!

Yummy Sunday # 3

This is the 3rd time that I joined Yummy Sunday. Thanks for my friend Janet for featuring this Yummy Sunday.

A delicious fried chicken from Suan Siam City. A huge park inside Suan Siam.
My 6-year old son loves to eat this. After travelling and riding inside the park, we're so hungry so we bought this spicy fried chicken for each one of us. It's yummy!

It's Worth the Travel

Going to a huge aquarium is something that we could never forget. We have found the lady mermaid, an actopus man and different sea creatures in a man's figure.

They had a 10-minute show and many tourists came and watched. We were not able to get inside the aquarium because it's quite expensive and our money is not enough. Staying outside is okay. We still have fun.

The Largest Aquarium in Southeast Asia

Yesterday we went to the Largest Aquarium in Southeast Asia which is found in the fantastic city of Bangkok.

Travelling really amazed us while seeing different fascinating places here in Siam - Bangkok. It's really great and fun to visit these places around the area.
Below is Siam Paragon where the Largest Aquarium in Southeast Asia could be found underground. It was so huge and fantastic. It's worth it! The efforts and the travel.

We went to Siam Discovery. A very huge mall with fascinating pictures that depicts Siam. It's a cool place with fantastic views. I can't help but take pictures while traveling.

It's fun seeing different places. It's really amazing!

From the City of Smile to the Land of Smiles

Bacolod City is known as the City of Smile - my beloved place. A small city with a great smile. Last year we had a chance to visit my family, from the city of smile - Bacolod City - and we traveled back to the Land of Smiles - Thailand late last year. Though Bacolod city is quite small but many tourists are coming and visited our place. They enjoyed the fascinating place.

This is my youngest sister. She loves to smile always. She is a happy fellow and enjoyed traveling. She also came from the city of smile.

This is our new airport. It's quite far from the city. It's also a fascinating attractive place.

This is the daughter of my sister (in front) with her classmates behind her. They performed something in the city of smile.

My son is wearing something red with an accent, taking a pose together with his cousins, they are all smiling, taken at the city of smile.

This is South Thailand - the Land of Smiles! Songkhla Province near the Songkhla Beach.

This is Thailand - the Land of Smiles!

We're smiling in the Land of Smiles!

Another pose in the Land of Smiles! It's fun to visit other places.

Our Bangkok Trip

Travelling is something that we enjoy as a family but quite tiring. Nonetheless, we love and enjoy the beauty of nature anywhere we go.

It's so nice to see different tourist spots. We came to Bangkok by bus and it took 14 hours travel by night. Our friends told us of what's going on in Bangkok at that time because last week the situation was so upset but we had the peace of going no matter what.

So we travelled in the afternoon of Friday and reached Bangkok the next day, Saturday morning. We stayed in a church for 2 days before going to our retreat in another place.

The place where we held our retreat was so nice and peaceful although the city of Bangkok was in chaos. We had rested well and enjoyed.

Here are some pictures that I took...

This is Bangkok. The busiest city in the country.

It has big buses anywhere. If you are not sure of the place, you need to ask the help of friends or people who knew how to speak English. But it's fun to be there.
