A New Start for Mommy Moments

mommy moments
Today, I joined Mommy Moments. I'm glad I'm a mom too. Because I believe children are gifts from the Lord and they need special attention. I'm happy to have growing kids now. I have 13 and 6. All were great boys and becoming men in the future.

I had been through feeding time, singing songs and lullabies, and sometimes though I sang their lullabies recalling the past ; when they were still babies ( I could still remember because I was the one composing it) but my teenager would stop me because he would feel awkward now. He has his own world.

Life is just like that, he's growing now, I missed the time that I can hug, kissed in any parts of his body with a lot of touch. But now it's different, I can't even touch him because he would tell me, he's not a baby anymore.

Lantern Festival moments

We were having a great evening

However, my 6-year old, for me, is still a baby. He would hug, kiss and would tell me a lot of sweet words. Sorry, but he's so cute, chubby-chubby boy. Mommy moments of course, will always be there, going out together as a family.

We should always be thankful to all the "mothers," especially for our mothers who had been with us through thick and thin. Through trials and difficulties, hardships and triumphs, our mothers will always be there to comfort, to guide and even to bless us.

Thanks Mommy Moments for this site. I like it! God bless.

Bacolod City

As what I have said on my blog about our beloved place Bacolod, there were places that you will love to visit.

A place where you can rest and feel the gentle breeze. It's also a city near the beach with fascinating SM Mall around the area. We love to see sunset near the mall, it's so cool!

A lot of people are coming, because it's near to the city, SM, Weesam Express where you can travel going to another island within 45 minutes, or a big ship (we call it Roro)and can travel for 2 hours and gazing the wonders of the ocean.

It's also near the plaza and surrounded by different botiques, small stores where you can buy anything you like, or restaurants and hotels around the city.

Wanna visit?

Songkhla Beach

Songkhla is the province of Hatyai. This is the place where we used to visit especially if we have visitors. We usually brought them to Songkhla Beach, it's a place to relax due to the coolness of the beach and the breeze coming from the sea.

We went to the beach a couple of weeks ago. We visited different places near the beach such as seeing the two adjascent islands namely; the Cat and the Mouse. You will really amazed how they formed these two creatures made of bronze. As well as the Golden Mermaid.

We also saw a group of young people riding on a banana boat. It's fun seeing them fall on the water while the one driving in front was making a fast move. It's our first to see it. It's great!

We also went to visit monkeys, and it's timely when we came. It's time to feed the monkeys. Many people came too and bought bananas and peanuts to attract the monkeys in coming. Our kids really enjoyed that place. It's fun!

Technology School

We had been to another place this week to promote our center. A lot of schools were there, whether new or old, small kids and highschoolers were coming too to visit and look at the promotions. That school was known as Technology School.

The place was quite far from our city, so we need to be prepared early. We prepared our booth and placed some of the things we're doing in the center. Students came with their teachers one at a time. So we have time to give out brochures for our upcoming activities this summer.

A lot of food stalls too, games, and a lot more. ALmost all schools gave their best to promote their activities and gave programs for others to enjoy. We had a lot of time to stay because we went there around 7:30am until past 5:oo in the afternoon.

They have also "Beauty School" as what our neighbor told us where you can learn how to do the haircut, beauty tips, facial wash, and even putting eyelashes. It's quite interesting and you will really be amused. I will try to take pictures tomorrow. See you then.

Thailand - Land of Smiles

We've been to Thailand more than a couple of years already. We tried different tastes of food which is not the same from our own native land. It's very different but it taste good when you learn to eat and tried the other delicacies. They even had water cockroaches and the like, it tastes good said my hubby. I didn't try because I'm scared of the look.

What amazed me? Here are some of the tips; if you want to visit:

1. The People are always smiling. We came from a city of smile in Bacolod, Phil. and we're happy that we're going to stay in the "Land of Smiles." Thais are always giving their best smile. Often times you would hear them saying, "Sawatdee kha (krap)," or "Mai pen rai" (which means never mind), when they hit someone and nothing happened. I remember the last time, we stayed at home and watched a movie, then our teenager saw someone bumped our car outside, and nothing happened, so the driver said, "khoothoot" (which means sorry), then my hubby said, mai pen rai krap!

2. The Food are very hot and spicy, not just quite hot but very spicy for us at first. Our kids were crying the first time we came, they can't take it. But they were so glad when we discovered the Thai fried rice, they call it "Khao Pat."( You can choose whether fried rice with chicken(kai), shrimp (kung), or seafood (kaa ley). So our kids always ask for "Khao Pat." Then later our teenager learned to love and eat spicy food. You can find stalls anywhere even in the streets. They will cook for you.

3. The Place is so cozy and livable, you will love to stay here. There are different attractions like, waterfalls, attractive beaches, malls (with promotions) in every occasion, a lot of things to travel and enjoy the beauty of nature.

4. The Shops are everywhere too with varieties like when you want a cheaper ones or the most expensive, you can find it here. But most shops are cheap and affordable. Last time, I was able to buy for 50% less of beauty products. Then I saw a promotion about body reshaping and I look at it. I guess, for those who were curious about it check it out.

My hubby just smile and my teenager just giggle seeing me reading all those stuffs. How I wish I could undergo that kind of thing. But I'm scared, so I just enjoy reading it.

If you want just click and see their promotions. You will enjoy too. Have fun!

Educational Trip

Last Monday it was holiday in Thailand and we decided to have a trip because our students did not come. And besides, we have friends from the Phil. who came and visited us. So it was time for us to bring them and take a glimpse of our city. At first, we brought them to Kimyong Market and the surrounding stalls.

Then we proceeded to Samila Beach in Songkhla. They liked the place, seeing all the people, the beach and the cozy ambiance. We stayed for a while while eating mangosteen. Then we went to the "golden mermaid" and took some pictures. After a while, we show them some places.

Our last stop was seeing the monkeys and it was the right time for feeding the monkeys. We also met a Filipina married to an American, who can speak Ilonggo, our own dialect. She was amazed when she heard our son, speaking. Then we were talking while feeding the monkeys. That was a great day!

When we went back home, our friend uttered that it's kids' educational trip too because our sons are doing homeschool. Then on our way home, we passed by the mountain and my hubby was coached by our friends while driving because it was first time for him to drive on that mountain.

Then we had dinner in the "Eat all you Can" restaurant. The locals call it "Mokata." That was a great day for all of us!

Surprises at the tip of your finger

I enjoy writing letters especially real stories about my experience, my family and some circle of friends. It's really nice and I feel good about writing. I can express myself, my feelings and my hopes.

When I was in college, I took up Bachelor's Degree in Education and most of my units were writing letters, whether busines or personal letters, and I usually got high grades if our examinations were all essay type. I also taught how to write business letters when we came to Thailand. I was blessed with good teachers.

Then came last year that our Filipino friend encouraged me to make a blog, then I started to make one. I find it hard at first because I'm not used in writing blogs. But then when I continue sharing my experiences, I was starting to enjoy blogging. Then my friend encouraged me to get paid in blogging. That sounds nice to me. While I was browsing through the net I come across http://www.payingpost.com and I was impressed by the offer. So, here am I getting the hang of it. Amazing Thailand

When we first traveled outside our beloved homeland, Thailand was the first country. We we're amazed by the people, its culture and beliefs. It was for the first time that we traveled as a family. It's quite amusing and interesting as well.

It's really true that when you're in a different country, it will widen your horizon and perspective as an individual and you view things in a different way.

We have tasted the food which is very different from our own food in our native land. We have tried their delicacies and saw different values and we were tempted to compare it to our own.

However, though we differ from each other but we have one purpose, to live a better life and help make a difference wherever we go.

We have learned to love Thailand as our second home.
